Online Workshop- Sturminster Newton Mill (Intermediate)

Claire uses her pen sketch as her reference material for this workshop and has chosen a summer theme and colour palette. Painting from the grassy foreground, towards the reflection of the Mill in the water, with white railings on the walkway over the rushing water creates relief against the dark underside of the mass of colourful trees behind. We also have the sun catching the front face of the Mill and the tops of the roof, contrasting the dark shadows creating a good 3D effect.

 

This class is one of our longer Workshops as it covers so much detail but is suitable for all levels of artist.
