Online Workshop -Porthmeor Beach St Ives Watercolour

In this Online Watercolour Workshop with Claire Warner we will be using colourful blues of the sky and turquoise sea with subtle warm hues of creams, reds and brown on the beach. Our techniques will focus on atmosphere and movement, along with transparency of the water gently sweeping over the sand.

Claire encourages you to use your senses when immersing yourself in a subject. Smelling the sea, tasting the salt in the air, hearing the therapeutic sound of the waves and touching the grittiness of
the sand whilst looking to observe your chosen subject for your watercolour painting. We will look at washes and waves, using masking fluid, masking paste and paints. She explains the joy of
finding a passion for your painting which will thread through your picture and greet the viewer.
