Learn and grow with great tutors at Treetops
Claire works as a professional artist and has won a Bursary from the SAA (the Society for All Artists) for her teaching entitled Art for Therapy. She has been teaching and working alongside myself at Treetops for 16 years. Claire paints in many mediums and exhibits around the country, whilst also accepting commissions, which is how we met as I asked her to paint Treetops and it's beautiful Wisteria.
Claire develops and runs classes for students of all abilities at Treetops mainly in Watercolour, but we also enjoy Oils, Acrylics, Pen & Wash and Mixed media. When not at Treetops, Claire can be found running workshops in the UK and painting holidays in the Cotswolds and Andalucia.
Rachel left Newbury aged 16 to pursue her showbiz dreams, she returned after an accident abruptly ended her career and Yoga played a vital role in her recovery. She fell in love with Yoga and now creates great classes no matter people’s experience of yoga, their body type or health status.
Rachel teaches at in Newbury and with us at Treetops having become a fully qualified Yoga Teacher. She specialises in Hatha Yoga along with specialist qualifications in Yin Yoga, Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga and Yoga for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Rachel runs amazing AromaYoga evening sessions at Treetops, where she shares her love of essential oils.
I have run Treetops for almost 20 years now and have lost count of the amount of lunches and suppers I have cooked, the fruit kebabs put together for the pilates morning, the soup suppers for yoga nights and the canapés for Aroma Yoga!
I have great experience in cooking for groups, juggling food allergies and intolerances, and love working to a ‘theme’! That’s when I can get really creative.
We have an Aga here at Treetops, but our demo style cookery classes are for both traditional oven owners and Aga owners.
For several years I owned and ran Colourful Cupcakes, supplying cakes for weddings, parties and celebrations and also running Cupcake Classes here at Treetops. (My blog is still up if you like

Woodland Retreats Tutor
Laura used to work at Treetops, with weekly yoga and meditation mornings, candlelit yoga & supper evenings and Retreat Days, before leaving to become a mother. Laura trained as a dancer, she worked in the corporate world in marketing, before training as a yoga teacher and her life opened up into new learnings and new trainings.
Laura is now working as a meditation guide, breath work teacher, energy worker, storyteller, sound alchemist, yoga guide, somatic practitioner and spiritual mentor. She currently shares both group gatherings and one to one holdings, and we felt now was the time to create some special Woodland Retreat days.
The most common feedback and memories people have of Laura is her amazing soft voice during classes, it's so relaxing and soothing.
