ONLINE ART WORKSHOPS

Our Art Online Workshops are mainly watercolour, with one Pen & Wash workshop and they cover a wide variety of techniques and subjects. Tutor Claire Warner teaches you in a step by step style, it’s done in exactly the same way she would run an art class in person at Treetops.

The camera can hover and move in close so you get great views in HD quality. Our Online Workshops have all been professionally filmed and edited in the house, garden and woodland at Treetops.

We have a Beginners Watercolour Online Workshop, which really goes back to basics and teaches you all about the paper, paints, brushes, it includes exercises to practice before you go on to paint a complete painting. We would recommend you follow this with A Cottage Door workshop.

Our other subjects cover techniques such as watercolour reflections (in our Croatia and Lake Ullswater Workshops), keeping your watercolours vibrant (autumn berries), how to create waves and translucent waves across the sand (Porthmeor Beach, Cornwall), mastering negative painting (rhododendrons), using a limited palette (spring blossom), finding colour in Winter (A Winter Scene). It really is a great library of online watercolour workshops to choose from. We also have Cyril the cheeky Treetops squirrel, who Claire has used to help you with Pen & Wash.

All of our Art Online Workshops come with a PDF attachment which has images of all the stages, these are really useful to have alongside you, a materials list of everything you need, a colour chart of all the colours used and a top tips sheet.

Once downloaded the workshop is yours to keep, so you can come back to it again and again. You need to download it within 30 days of receiving the workshop for the link to remain available.
