Watercolour tutor Claire Warner wins Top Award!

Claire has just won first prize in a National Competition from the SAA (the Society of All Artists) for her teaching. The theme was 'Art Therapy'.

Claire believes that we are all born with a creative side, which can be used to benefit anyone going through a difficult time. ie bereavement, illness, stress to name but a few. Claire has found the therapeutic effects of painting have helped many of her students, and she hopes it will help many more in the future.

Her teaching methods, with demonstrations and visual aids in the form a print of the finished chosen picture which she gives each student, also inspired the judges.

Jo Andreae: Photography

New at Treetops for 2007 is Photography with local freelance photographer Jo Andreae.

I can personally recommend Jo's family photographs, taken informally at home or in your garden.  Ideal as Christmas presents for the family or to capture a precious moment in time.  The photographs can be in black and white or colour.  Your chosen images can then be mounted, framed, printed onto canvas or even published on a DVD set to music.
